Process
What happens after you call.
- 01
Call and describe the water
Tell us where the water is coming from and which rooms it has reached. We give you a same-day arrival window based on what you describe.
- 02
Make the area safe
A wet room with live outlets or a wet electrical panel is a hazard. We confirm power is off where it needs to be before anyone works in the water.
- 03
Stop the source
If a supply line is feeding the water, closing the main valve stops it. If the fix needs a plumber, we tell you before extraction starts so the water does not return after we pump it out.
- 04
Extract the standing water
Pumps handle the deeper water and wet vacuums finish at the slab or subfloor. Soaked carpet pad and other materials that cannot be saved go out the same day.
- 05
Set up drying
Air movers and dehumidifiers go in before the crew leaves, positioned where the moisture meters show wet material. The first readings are logged as the baseline for the dry-out.
- 06
Schedule the drying checks
Before we leave you know what was removed and when we return for the first moisture check. If repairs will be needed after drying, the free estimate covers those too.
Insurance
We work with your insurance, and we bill them directly
- 01
Call us
We answer, ask what happened, and get a crew moving. Same-day emergency response on active water.
- 02
We document everything
We take moisture readings and photos and write up a scope of work before drying starts, so your adjuster has the file from day one.
- 03
We bill your insurer directly
We work directly with your insurance company on covered water and mold claims, so you're not fronting the full cost and chasing reimbursement.
Your deductible is still yours to cover, and we'll tell you that number before any work starts rather than after. You also don't need a claim to hire us. Plenty of our jobs are paid directly by the homeowner, and after the free inspection we'll say which way makes more sense for the damage you have.
Common problems
What we get called about most.
Water is still coming in
Extraction cannot get ahead of an open supply line. Close the main valve if you can reach it, and if the source needs a plumbing repair, we tell you before pumping starts so the space stays dry afterward.
An inch of water across a finished basement
Carpet pad absorbs water and almost never dries in place. We extract through the carpet and pull the pad where it is soaked, then meter the drywall around the room, since it draws water up from the floor.
Flooring that looks dry on top
Laminate and vinyl trap water in the layers underneath. A meter reading through the floor shows whether water is trapped there, and that reading decides whether the floor can be saved.
Outlets or appliances in the water
Do not step into water that may be in contact with live power. Shut the breaker for that area if you can reach the panel on dry ground. If you cannot, stay out and tell us when you call; we treat it as an electrical hazard until it is confirmed safe.
Who's showing up
Local and independent, based in Totowa, NJ.
The person on the phone is the one planning your job, and the scope and moisture readings come from the crew that does the work.

FAQ
Questions we get most.
Do you bill my insurance company directly?
Yes. On covered water, mold, and fire claims we bill the carrier directly, so you are not fronting the cost and waiting for reimbursement. You pay your deductible and we settle the rest with the insurer, supported by the photos, moisture readings, and drying logs adjusters ask for. A claim is not required to hire us — many of our residential jobs are paid by the homeowner.
Do I still have to pay my deductible?
Yes. The deductible is your share of a covered loss and it applies before the insurer pays anything. Be careful with any contractor who offers to waive or absorb it — that misstates the claim and can put you at risk. If the damage is small enough that filing makes no sense against your deductible, we will tell you that after the free inspection.
What should I do in the first few hours after water damage?
Stop the water at the main shut-off or the fixture valve if you can reach it safely. If water is near outlets or appliances, cut power to that area at the breaker — never stand in water to do it. Move what you can to a dry room. Then call (551) 414-6202. The sooner extraction starts, the more of the structure and contents we can save.
How fast can you get here?
We dispatch the same day you call, six days a week, from our base in Totowa. Most of our service area is within about 45 minutes. Tell us what you see when you call — standing water, an active leak, a ceiling coming down — and we will tell you what to do until the crew arrives.
Is it safe to stay in the house during water damage?
Often yes, but stay out of rooms with sagging ceilings, and never walk through water that could be touching electrical outlets or equipment. If the water came from a sewer backup, keep people and pets away from the area entirely — that water carries bacteria. When we arrive we will tell you plainly which rooms are fine and which to avoid.
Where do I shut off the water?
The main shut-off is usually where the water line enters the house: in the basement near the front wall, in a utility room, or near the water meter. Turn it clockwise to close. For a single fixture, the small valve under the sink or behind the toilet stops that line. If you cannot find the valve, call us and we will talk you through it.
