  • Work areas sealed with plastic containment and negative air machines running HEPA filtration
  • Contaminated drywall, insulation, and carpet removed and disposed of
  • Surfaces cleaned with EPA-registered antimicrobials after removal
  • The moisture problem corrected, whether that means drying, dehumidification, or a leak repair
  • We bill your insurance directly on covered claims, and no claim is required to hire us

Process

What happens after you call.

  1. 01

    Inspection and testing

Technician in white protective coveralls on a ladder treating exposed framing, red-taped containment door behind

Mold needs three things to grow: moisture, a food source such as wood, drywall, or dust, and temperatures usually between 60°F and 80°F. Every building supplies the last two, so the inspection centers on finding the moisture. We locate the growth and check how far it has spread, then trace the water or humidity source feeding it.

  2. 02

    Containment

Close-up of black, green, and yellow mold growth on fiberboard wall sheathing at floor level

Before removal starts, the affected area gets sealed off with plastic sheeting. HEPA-filtered negative air machines keep the work zone under suction, so any spores the demolition kicks up get pulled through the filters instead of drifting into the rest of the building.

  3. 03

    Removal

Removed paneling revealing widespread mold growth on sheathing inside a wall cavity

Materials with growth in them can't be surface-cleaned. Drywall, insulation, and carpet that mold has penetrated are cut out, sealed in bags before they leave the work area, and disposed of.

  4. 04

    Cleaning and treatment

HEPA air scrubber with orange flexible ducting set up in a small tiled bathroom next to the toilet

Everything that stays gets HEPA-vacuumed and cleaned with antimicrobials registered with the EPA. This step clears residual spores from surfaces and removes the musty odor.

  5. 05

    Moisture control

Black mold growth on cut-open drywall and exposed framing around a wall vent grille

Removal alone doesn't end a mold problem; the moisture has to be fixed too. Depending on the cause, that means repairing the leak, drying the structure, or running dehumidification. You'll know what caused the growth and what we did about it.

  6. 06

    Encapsulation

Mold-blackened wall paneling and greenboard cut away at the base of a wood-paneled wall, oscillating tool on the tile floor

As a final step where it's warranted, cleaned surfaces get a sealant coating that locks in any remaining spores and resists future growth. The coating goes on cleaned material only.

Insurance

We work with your insurance, and we bill them directly

  1. 01

    Call us

We answer, ask what happened, and get a crew moving. Same-day emergency response on active water.

  2. 02

    We document everything

We take moisture readings and photos and write up a scope of work before drying starts, so your adjuster has the file from day one.

  3. 03

    We bill your insurer directly

We work directly with your insurance company on covered water and mold claims, so you're not fronting the full cost and chasing reimbursement.

Your deductible is still yours to cover, and we'll tell you that number before any work starts rather than after. You also don't need a claim to hire us. Plenty of our jobs are paid directly by the homeowner, and after the free inspection we'll say which way makes more sense for the damage you have.

Common problems

What we get called about most.

A musty smell with nothing visible

A musty or earthy odor is one of the main warning signs of mold, and it often comes from growth you can't see: inside a wall cavity, under flooring, or in a crawl space. Moisture tools let us find the damp area without opening everything up.

Spots that come back after cleaning

Black, green, or white spots on walls, ceilings, or floors that return after wiping mean the growth goes deeper than the surface and the moisture is still present. We remove the affected material and correct the moisture, so the spots stop returning.

Mold after water damage

Moisture can lead to mold in as little as 24 to 48 hours. If a burst pipe or flood wasn't dried completely, growth may have started inside walls or under floors before anything shows. A free inspection settles it either way.

Allergy symptoms that get worse indoors

Mold exposure can cause allergy symptoms and breathing problems, and people with asthma or weakened immune systems are at greater risk. If symptoms ease when you leave the building, mold is worth ruling out, and an inspection answers it quickly.

FAQ

Questions we get most.

Does homeowners insurance cover water damage?

Usually, when the cause was sudden and accidental: a burst pipe, a failed water heater, an appliance hose that let go. Policies generally exclude damage that happened gradually, like a slow leak that ran for months, and outside flooding needs a separate flood policy. When we inspect, we document the cause of loss carefully, because that is the first thing the adjuster reviews.

What are your hours?

Sunday through Friday, 8am to 6pm. We are closed Saturdays. Emergency calls during business hours get a same-day response — call (551) 414-6202 and we will get a crew moving.

Is mold in my house dangerous?

Mold exposure can trigger allergy symptoms and breathing irritation, and people with asthma or weakened immune systems are more sensitive to it. That is reason to deal with it properly, not to panic. Remediation removes the growth and, just as important, fixes the moisture that fed it, so it does not return.

What does mold remediation involve?

Six steps: inspect and find the moisture source, contain the area with plastic sheeting and negative air, remove contaminated materials like drywall and insulation, clean the remaining surfaces with EPA-registered products, fix the moisture problem, and encapsulate cleaned framing with a sealant coating where it is warranted. HEPA air scrubbers run through the work.

Will the mold come back after remediation?

Not if the moisture problem is fixed — that is the step that decides it. Mold is a symptom; damp material is the cause. Every remediation we run includes finding and correcting the water source, whether that is a leak, condensation, or ventilation. Remove the mold and leave the moisture, and any contractor's work will fail.

How long does mold remediation take?

A single contained area — one wall, a bathroom ceiling — often takes a day or two. A basement or attic with widespread growth runs longer, and drying the structure afterward can add days. The free inspection gives you a written scope with the timeline for your specific job before any work starts.
