Will the mold come back after remediation?
Not if the moisture problem is fixed — that is the step that decides it. Mold is a symptom; damp material is the cause. Does homeowners insurance cover water damage?

Is mold in my house dangerous?
Mold exposure can trigger allergy symptoms and breathing irritation, and people with asthma or weakened immune systems are more sensitive to it. That is reason to deal with it properly, not to panic. Remediation removes the growth and, just as important, fixes the moisture that fed it, so it does not return.
What does mold remediation involve?
Six steps: inspect and find the moisture source, contain the area with plastic sheeting and negative air, remove contaminated materials like drywall and insulation, clean the remaining surfaces with EPA-registered products, fix the moisture problem, and encapsulate cleaned framing with a sealant coating where it is warranted. HEPA air scrubbers run through the work.
