Water Damage Restoration in Wayne, NJ
One call covers the whole job: same-day extraction, drying tracked with moisture meters, photos and readings for the claim from the start, and the rebuild at the end. Wayne is about 10 minutes out for us.
Frozen and burst pipes are a routine winter cause of water damage in Wayne's post-war housing, and the lake communities carry the extra moisture that comes with waterfront lots. Below-grade rooms get checked with moisture meters here before we call anything dry.
A person answers — not an answering service. Closed Saturdays for Shabbat. Covered claims are billed directly to your carrier.

- Contain the work area
- Extract the standing water
- Dry the structure
- Clean and treat
- Verify dry and document
Local knowledge
What we see in Wayne
The housing stock, the terrain, and the drainage in Wayne all change how we plan a job. Here's what we run into:
Getting to you
The township starts at Totowa's border, so the normal run is about ten minutes. When the rivers are up we check the crossings against the gauge readings before dispatch.
Water & drainage
The Pompton runs down Wayne's west side and meets the Passaic at Two Bridges, near the township's southern corner. Hoffman Grove took 14 major floods in 40 years before the buyouts, and the streets closest to either river still carry most of the township's flood exposure.
On the ground
Wayne has recorded 762 repetitive flood losses, more than any other municipality in New Jersey. FEMA-funded buyouts have taken hundreds of Wayne houses out of the floodway, and Hoffman Grove, ringed on three sides by the Pompton River, has been emptied almost house by house. That history tells us which streets to ask about the moment a Wayne call comes in.
Common problems
The problems we're usually called about.
Water heater leaked in a finished area
A failed tank empties onto the floor and keeps drawing from the supply line until the valve is closed. We shut the water and extract, then meter the surrounding rooms, because water spreads under flooring beyond the wet area you can see.
Wood floors starting to cup
Cupping means the boards are absorbing moisture from below. Caught early, hardwood can sometimes be dried in place; left wet, it usually needs replacement. We meter the subfloor before recommending either.
A musty smell but no visible water
That smell after a past leak usually means damp material inside a wall or under a floor. Moisture meters and a thermal camera can locate it without opening every wall. The inspection is free, and if nothing reads wet we tell you that.
Toilet or tub overflowed
A clean-water overflow still soaks the flooring and the ceiling below it. If the water came from the drain side of the fixture, it is contaminated, and the materials it touched need disinfection or removal rather than drying alone.

We bill your insurer directly
We work directly with your insurance company on covered water and mold claims, so you're not fronting the full cost and chasing reimbursement.

FAQ
Questions we get most.
How fast can you get here?
We dispatch the same day you call, six days a week, from our base in Totowa. Most of our service area is within about 45 minutes. Tell us what you see when you call — standing water, an active leak, a ceiling coming down — and we will tell you what to do until the crew arrives.
Why are you closed on Saturdays?
We are a Shabbat-observant business, so we close every Saturday. The rest of the week, Sunday through Friday, we answer and dispatch the same day. If water is spreading on a Saturday, shut off the main valve, cut power to the wet area at the breaker, and call us — we respond as soon as we reopen.
The floor looks dry now. Is the damage done?
Surfaces dry first; the layers underneath do not. Water wicks into subfloors, wall cavities, and insulation, where it can sit for weeks. Mold growth can start in 24 to 48 hours in material that stays wet. We check with moisture meters and a thermal camera, and if the readings say the structure is dry, we tell you that and leave it alone.
Does homeowners insurance cover water damage?
Usually, when the cause was sudden and accidental: a burst pipe, a failed water heater, an appliance hose that let go. Policies generally exclude damage that happened gradually, like a slow leak that ran for months, and outside flooding needs a separate flood policy. When we inspect, we document the cause of loss carefully, because that is the first thing the adjuster reviews.
Do you bill my insurance company directly?
Yes. On covered water, mold, and fire claims we bill the carrier directly, so you are not fronting the cost and waiting for reimbursement. You pay your deductible and we settle the rest with the insurer, supported by the photos, moisture readings, and drying logs adjusters ask for. A claim is not required to hire us — many of our residential jobs are paid by the homeowner.
